sale of oil paintings to Melbourne based clients
This has been a busy week for me both on the side of production and sales. A lovely couple from Melbourne who had seen my work on the web walked into the studio and purchased one exsisting oil painting and commissioned me for one assignment. The painting that sold is one of my old time favorites and I consider myself lucky to have been able to enjoy it for a long time.

byron tik bay gallery, the Red & Black series
I am progressing with my new work that is focussed around three colors, red, black and white.
Using the strong contrast of the colors and the subtle values and nuances of shading within the body, keep an eye out for the progress. In these images I use a figurative approach, the drawn white figures that are classically rendered against the black background give the work a unique character. There are 5 pieces already, 4 in progress and more on there way. I am enjoying the input of several models on this series the poses are quite natural but have a definite intrigue to them.

Next to the A & I Hall in Bangalow the up and coming artists run gallery 'art space' has take on some of my work to exhibit, besides work of various artists from the northern rivers area, several paintings workshops are held in this space. The current material in the art space is some of my older figurative work, oil on canvas.
